Playing Through

Where are we?
There may not be a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, but golfers will find one of the best links courses in all of Ireland. Set in a quaint coastal fishing town, the course has gone through a facelift over the past few years by world renowned architect Tom Fazio. A bronze statue of Payne Stewart stands near the 18th green to commemorate the late champion, who felt a special bond with the course and the locals. Along with Tiger Woods, Mark O’Meara, he loved to fly in as a tune-up for the British Open, and could often be seen fishing for salmon and sea trout in the nearby waters.
